FALSE PRETENCES. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 6. Thomas Henry Wise, who commenced business eighteen months ago as the New Zealand Trust, Executors’. Agency Mortgage, Finance and Genera) Investment Association, with a capital of £o, was convicted on Tuesday on a 1 charge of false pretences, and to-day was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment by Mr Hunt, S.M., who said that the nrobation officer’s report was a bad one.
