A RECORD MONTH.
I PLUNKET NURSES' WORK. TOTAL OF 1518 VISITS. A record month so far as the nurses' work is concerned was reported at the monthly meeting of the committee of the Plunket Society yesterday, ' when Mrs G. J. S. Fisher presided in the absence of the president (Mrs J. S. Laing). The resignation of Nurse [Withell owing to continued ill-health was accepted with regret. It was 'reported that Nurse A. Wall had left on Tuesday on a fortnight's leave, her place being taken by Nurse Malcolm, of Otago. The following executive was appointed:—Mesdames J. S. Laing (nresident), and G. J. S. Fisher (vice-president), Miss E. Gates (hon. secretary), Mesdames W. Birnie (hon. treasurer), C. M. Innes, W. R. Lane and J. Connor. Votes of thanks were accorded to the tea and decorating committees for their work in connection with the annual meetings The nurses' report was as follow: —To homes in the country, 119; to rooms in the County, 492; to homes in the town, 105; to rooms in the town, 802; j total, 1518.. New cases numbered 31. The car mileage was 607. .
