THIRD TEST.
WEATHER THREATENING. IRONMONGER WILL PLAY IF WEB ' (United Press Association —Copyright.); (Received This Day, 11 a".m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The Test team selectors also chose Ironmonger to play in the third Tesl? should the weather be wet. Conditions point to thunderstorms, and the weather clerk says that furtherj : rain was likely. The papers commend the selection ofi Bradman and a'Beckett, who will BON fuse youth into the team. The Sydney "Daily Telegraph's'* expert deprecates the selectors' casual treatment of A. Kippax (New SoutH Wales) and of W. A. Oldfield (NewSouth Wales), who were not notified to be in Melbourne for the match. Had it not been for the chairman of tho Board of Control, who took the matterj into his own hands and instructed thd secretary of the New South Wales As* sociation to buy Oldfield's ticket toi Melbourne, the famous wicketkeepen might still have been in Sydney awaiting the call from Melbourne. The final team will be selected to* morrow morning.—Australian Press! Association.
