STOCK SALE.
PRICES AT METHVEN. The fortnightly stock sale was held in the Methven saleyards yesterday, when there was a good ateiidance or farmers. A somewhat larger yarding of fats was yarded and these met with fair competition. Of the total yarding in fats and stores some 250 sheep were passed at auction. , There was a much smaller entry ot pigs than has been the case at lecent safes. The principal sales were:— Fat Sheep.— Thirteen lambs at 295, 25 at 28s lOd. 150 at 26s 3d 116 at 27s 10d, 18 at 255, 19 at 28s 6d, nj 275, 63 at 295, 4 fat ewes at 28s 6d, 1 ewe at 20s, 46 ewes at 17s. 62 ewes at 15s lOd, 53 lambs at 27s 6d, 38 at 265, 64 at 28s 9d, 68 at 29s 7d'. _ Store Sheen.— Seventy-six rape ewes at 6s 3d, 70 rape lambs ot 225, 146 rape ewes at 11s 4d, 41 : v -brod M.J. lambs at 23s 2d, 119 mixed sex lambs at 22s 2d. , 1(1 Pigs.—Five weaners at 11s, 4 at, ios,, 2 at”lßs, 2 at 15s, 2 at 13s. *
