Mr G. J. Heney, who has# been stock a treat for the N.Z. Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association at Methven for the last three years, has received notice of his transfer to the Hawarden branch and will leave to take up his new position in about 10 days’ time. The announcement is made that the Hon.. John Barr, Christchurch, whose term as a Legislative Councillor expired on January 22, was re-appointed next day for a term of seven years. Other Councillors whose term expires this year are: Colonel Collins (Wellington), July 14; the Hon John MacGregor (Otago), July'l4; the Hon. n illiam H. Mclntyre (Nelson), September 2; Sir Thomas Mackenzie, March 12; the Hon. Richard Moore (Canterbury), July 14; the Hon. W. W- Snodgrass (Nelson), September 2.
