LONG DISTANCE YACHT RACE.

SAN FRANCISCO TO PAPEETE. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) SAN FRANCISCO, June 3. What is claimed to be the longest race in the history of yachting, from San Francisco to Papeete, is to start on Wednesday, June 10, when three schooners and a ketch are toi spread sail at the Golden Gate. The distance is between 3500 and 4000 miles. The yachts are:—L. A. Morris's Mariner, John Pivers's Eloise, and Dr. T. R. Parker's Idalia, and Mark Faxana's ketch Shawnee.

The first three fly the flag of the San Francisco Yacht Club.
