Polling for the triennial elections to the Victorian Legislative Council were held yesterday and are reported from all centres to have been, quiet. Of 17 retiring members, nine were returned unopposed, including Mr Goudie, Minister of Public Works.

The main interest in the poll is attached to the contest between the Country Party and the Nationalists in the rural provinces.
