ATHLETICS.

THE HINDS CLUB. The annual meeting of the Hinds Athletic Club was held in the hall on Tuesday evening, when there was a good attendance of members. Mr W. T. Lowe occupied the chair. The secretary, Mr G. D. Chisnall, read tlie report, which showed that the club had had a very successful year. A large sports building had been erected in the ’ Domain. The balance-sheet showed receipts £214, expenditure £2lO. , , , The following officers were elected: Patron, Colonel J. Studholme; president, Mr A. M. McKenzie; secretary, Mr C. D. Chisnall; association secretary, Mr M. Farrell; and a large committee. . It was decided to hold the sports m April. > ■ On the motion of Mr J. Cook, a subcommittee consisting of Messrs Lowe. McKenzie, and tlie mover was set up to arrange a suitable recognition of the services of Mr C. D. Chisnall. Messrs McKenzie and Lowe added their eulogies of the splendid work done by Mr Chisnall.
