WELLINGTON RACING CLUB.
WELLINGTON, Oct. 22. For the second day of the Wellington spring meeting the; weather was dull and threatening, with a northerly gale; nevertheless there was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £42,041 10s for the day, and £76,899 for the meeting, and last year's total was £78,227 10s. The concluding results .of the racing are: —
Champion Plate. —Desert Gold 1, Estland 2, Menelaus 3. . Won easily; two lengths between second and third.
Rualiine Handicap.—-Polynesian 1, Trickery 2, Bloomine 3. Won easily. Time, lmin 16 2-ssec.
Nainai Handicap.—Lingerie 1, Waimatoa 2, Birkenvale 3. .Won by two lengths; a length between second and third. Time, lmin 3scc. •'' ' •
