GERMAN ATTACKS CONTINUE.
PETROGRAD, July 26. • An official statement says:—" On the roads from Shavli and Rossieny the enemy continues to progross .in the direction of Pointvege. . •■ ■ • " The enemy delivered a,series or desperate attacks along the eastern bank of the Pissa. Ho was - unsuccessful, and suffered great losses. " Wo repulsed persistent attempts to cross the Narew, on the OstrolekaRozan soctor, but the enemy in the Rozan-Pultusk sector threw part of his forces to the left bank of the Narew. '' The enemy delivered barren attacks to the left of'the Vistula, in the direction of. Prassctehno. . "The enemy, compelled by our counter-attacks, ceased the offensive between.the Vistula and the Bug, except at Gvimbechow, where we repulsed several attacks. The enemy's attempt to establish himself on the right bank of the Bug failed."
