NATIONAL CABINET.

COALITION PROSPECTS

LEADERS KEEPING OWN

COUNSEL

(From Our Parliamentary Corres-

pondent.;

WELLINGTON, July 26. The National Government negotiations proceed slowly. It would be easy to fill a page with rumours and speculations, but the plain fact is that Mr Massoy and Sir Joseph Ward are keeping their own confidences for the present.. They met again to-day, and they will meet to-morrow. For the rest, one may say once more that coalition prospects are not bright.
