DTJNEDIN, July 26. At a meeting of tho Half-Holiday Association to-night a resolution was carried, "protesting against, attempts ■ being made to defeat the decision of the electors of the combined districts of Dunedki, Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland in favour of the Saturday half-holiday, regretting the action of Mr Myers in introducing a Bill to defeat the peoples' expressed wish in this matter, and urging tho Government and Parliament to honour the electors' decision and oppose any legislation in opposition to the present vote lin favour of Saturday." ' ;
