FIRE.
ACT OF AN INCENDIARY
AUCKLAND, June 1. A fire at tho rear of St. James's Hall, "Wellington Street, at 1 o'clock this morning, was suppressed, with slight damage. There wore evidences of intend in ri.sm, a gas jet in the lavatory having been turned on," and a piece of piping attached so us to direct the flame on the woodwork.
