ASHBURTON LIBERAL AND LABOUR ASSOCIATION.
A. meeting of the Ashburton branch of the Progressive Liberal and Labour Association was held in Victoria Hall oa Tuesday evening. Mr W. naming presided over a stair attendance oi" members. Mr.W. b. Maslin, of Gerald-' ine< ;: was present. o, l"he ; - meeting transacted all the necessary" business, after which Mr Maslin .addressed the meeting, and in doing, so pointed out that ■ the platform of Jjiberalism was: "ThY securing of the greatest amount of good for the many, with the least inconvenience to the few, and equal justice for all." At the conclusion Mr Maslin was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his spirited -address.
