CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
-^ Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 16. A charge of manslaughter was laid against William Ernest Dawo at the Police Court to-day m connection with the death of Thomas Albert Thompson, who was crushed while coupling two tramcars. These cars collided as a result of the car on which Dawe was motorman bumping into one to which deceased was fixing a coupling. It was alleged by the prosecution that the accident was duo to carelessness on the part of Dnwo Accused pleaded not guilty to the charge, reserved his decision, and was committed for trial.
