CANADA AND THE NAVY.

The Montreal Star declares that colonial, after the recent review, will not desire a.-baby navy of their'own, when they know that it would be only of problematical use m Imperial defence. It suggests that the Motherland should build, man, equip and manage a fleet, and that Canada should guarantee interest on the sum expended m Canada's name, with favourable terms for Canadian recruits, Canada having the option of taking such ships on payment of the cost.
