The Mayor (Mr H. Davis), who telegraphed to Sir Joseph Ward, last night, on the eve of his departure for the Old Laud, wishing him a pleasant passage and a safe return, received the following reply from the Premier: "Please accept, and convey to friends, my sincere thanks for kind wishes, which are much appreciated. I hope to find you all well on. my return. Kind regards."
