FIRE AT SEAFIELD.

Shortly after 9 o'clock on Friday morning it was discovered that Mr James Bruce's house at Seafield was on»fire, and that the'outbreak had originated in the dining-room. Efforts! were made to subdue the flames, but these proved of no avail, and the entire building, which was of wood and contained seven rooms, was burned to the ground, together with a large amount of furniture and personal effects. When discovered the fire had gained such a "strong hold that Mr and Mrs Bruce were able to save only a few articles of furniture and clothing. The articles of furniture destroyed included a costly piano, a sewing inachine, bicycle, etc. .Tho house was insure! in Vq Farmers' Insurance Association for £"200, and a policy in the same ofnYe of £50 covered the furniture.
