Messrs F. 11. Choat and Co.'s weekly -stock and produce sale was well attended, when a comparatively large entry of poultry, pigs and produce was submitted and disposed of at satisfactory prices. Poultry.—The pens were well filled, and competition for table birds was exceptionally keen. A line of young hens brought from Is 3d to 2s 9d others to 3s; roosters brought Is 6d, 2s 3d, 2s 9d, 3s 3s 6d,per pair. A small line of purebred Silver Wyandotte roosters sold at ss. 7s 6d each; turkeys 3s 6d to 4s 6'l each; 4s per pair' Produce.—Wheat (seconds), 8s 6d to 12s 6d; do. (thirds). 6s to 6s 9d; oats (seconds), 4s to 4s 6d; do. (crushed) 4s fid, Jh to 5s 6d; barley (seconds). 7s to as od—at per sack: carrots, 2s 6d per sack; potatoes. 5s 6d to 7s per sackparsnips, Is (small baps); beet, 2d each; walnuts, 4d per lb; celery, 6d per bundle; marrqws, 3d to 6d'each Fruit.—Apples. 2d. 2*d, 3*d to 4d per lb; pears. 2d to 2Jd per lb ; Meat.—Mutton (fresh), 2d; do (frozen), 2d; lamb, 3jd per lb.
