The Hon Thomas* Fergus, m presiding at the annual meeting of the Standard Insurance Company, said that the income this year was £113,022, axpenscs £97,456; leaving a balance of £15,565, from which the half yearly usual dividend would be paid. The directors recommended the payment of i further half-yearly dividend of 7£ per cent, with a bonus of 2^ per cent.
