WATER MAINS BURST.
NELSON, March 1. The new waterwork weir is giving so much increased pressure that the old water mains have burst m various parts of the town. At one of the hotels where the water was turned on at the bathroom tap, the room was flooded, and the water poured m a cataract from the windows into the street below. Not much damage wag done.
