There was a large entry and a good attendance at Mr H. Stephenson's weekly sale in Haveloek Street. A clearance was effected at the following prices: Poultry.—Hens, 2s Gd per pair: chickens, Is 8d to Is lOd per pair; hen and four chicks. Is sd. Pigs. —17s, 19s to 22s each. Produce.—Onions Id per lb; tomatoes, 3£d to 4d; apricots, 2§d; plums, 1-J-d to 2d ; peaches, 8-Jd to 4d; apples, l^d to 2d per 11); potatoes, id to fd per lb; rhubarb, 4d per bundle, red cabbages, 3d each; cucumbers, 3s to 4s per case; cabbages, Id eacli; wheat, 14s to 16s per sack. Mutton.—2d to 2£d per lb. Cow in full profit, £5.
