MEDICAL CONFERENCE.
NAPIER, February 22. The annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association opened this evening. The Mayor of Napier (Mr J. Vigor Brown, M.P.) welcomed the delegates. The president (Dr. T. Q. Moore, of Napier) devoted tho main portion of his address to the evils of patent and proprietary medicines. Hb urged that the medical profession should warn the public against worthless or injurious nostrums .and suggested that an arrangement might be made to publish formulas of these vaunted cure-alls m the daily Press if possible, and, if the Press refused, then m pamphlet torm, distributed broadcast.
