The Wellington men made no mistake about the defeat inflicted by them \vpon Hawko's Bay, as, after declaring their innings closed with five wickets down for 346 runs, they defeated their opponents comfortably by 186 runs. Fulton b Redgrave, 32; Payne not out, 18; Briee not out, 1; extras, 11. The innings was declared closed with five wickets for 346 runs. The first innings totalled 204, making a grand total of 550.
