There was a good attendance at Mr H. Stephenson's usual Saturday auction sale of fruit, produce, etc., held at his mart to-day. The entry was cleared at the following rates: Poultry.—Hens, 2s 5d to 2s lid; roosters, 2s 4d to 4s 4d at per pair; 12 chickens brought 12s Gd. Pio-s.—lss 6d, 16s 3d, 17s, 18s to 395. . Produce. —Crushed oats 5s per sack, oatsheaf chaff 2s 6d to 3s 3d per sack, carrots 2s per sack, potatoes Jd'to Jdj per lb, swedes Is per small bag, tomatoes 3d to 4d per lb, cucumbers 4s per half case, onions Id per lb, cauliflowers lid each, cabbages Id each, wheat 14s per sack. • Fruit. —Plums lid to 2d, apricots 2d, peaches 3£d to 4d per lb. Meat.—Mutton 2*d per lb. A large quantity of furniture was offered and sold at prevailing rates.
