CENTRAL MARKET.
Owing to an exceptionally large onry of poultry, fruit, produce andi sundries there was a large attendance at Messrs F. H. Choat and Co.'s weekly sale, and clearances were effected readily at the following prices: Poultry.—Hens Is 6d, 2s, 2s 3d, 3s, 3s 6d; roosters 2s, 2s 9d, 3s 3d, 4s. Pigs.—A small line of weaners and store pigs changed hands privately at: Weaners, 15s to 20s; stores, 25s to 37s 6d. Produce—Wheat, 13s 6d, 14s 6d; oats (crushed) 5s 6d; at per sack. Vegetables.—Potatoes, Jd per lb; onions lid to 2d per lb; rhubarb 4d per bundle. Fruit.—Plums—Burbanks (Teviot) 2|d, local 2d, Blue Diamonds (Teviot) 2.} dto 3d, local 2d to 2*d, jam sorts lid to 2d, apples Id, pears 2d per lb. 'Moat.—Mutton 2-Jd, lamb 3£d per lb.
