The naked body of a female infant was found in the Lyttelton harbour this morning, floating inside the western breakwater, near the cattle wharf.
Dunedin, Sept 8
Charles James Barlow, a married m&n, aged 48, and a painter .by trade, died at his residence at Kensington, apparently from heart failure. Deceased leaves a widow and young family of nine children in somewhat distressed circumstances, to relieve which the Caledonian Bowling Club, of which he was a member, are taking steps to raise subscriptions. . :
