Sydney, Sept 6 The final gallops took place this morning. Maniapoto, with Jones up, covered 10 furlongs in 2.16, the last six {furlongs taking 1.17£. He finished strong. Gladsome registered a mile in 1.47. Nightfall beat Isolfc, while Noctuiform beat stmgod over a mile, both journeys occupying" 1.485.' Noctuiform's last six furlongs took ,1.21, G-rand Rapids, assisted by Pius, made similar time over a mile. Tartan covered the Epsom distance in 1 47. Marvel Loch took 1.47£. Machine Gun strode over sis farlongs in 1.17|. Dingo and Haydn shaped well in a sound working gallop.
