I Messrs Miles and Company, Limited, report on the weekly stock sale held %t the Ashburton yards on Tuesday, May 9, as follows :—A very small yirding was collected at this fixture^ on Tuesday last, the totals being 3ft47- sheep, 9 rams, 14 head of cattle, and 7 pigs. Although there was an average attendance of the public, biddings were not spirited, yet some improvement was shown in the prices obtained for several lines submitted.
