New Plymouth May 31st. 1851. Dear Sir, By the Resident Magistrate's order, I again forward the enclosed account, which please return at your earliest convenience. Yon will see by the Gazettes I posted yesterday that my brother is appointed Commissioner of Crown Lands. Therefore it is probable our mutilated township will undergo alteration very shortly. Look out for No. 82 of "Maori Messenger" dated May 8th. 1851, and let me know what you think of Sir George's handsome donation to those troublesome fellows. They continue to agitate the old question, and good will surely come of it
