we were opposing the opening up of the country. I saw a very stupid article in the Weekly News (Southern Cross) about moving the Native Land Court down to Wellington. Of course (and I know it is so) the article has been written at Fentons instigation - It is a pity that there is no one to tell them that the rumour is absolutely false - we do not want to move the Native Land Court away from Auckland. But what we do want is to move the administrative part of its machinery where it ought to be headquarters they will have Munro All that will be wanted here will be the Chief Judge and one or two clerks with the Survey Dept. I wish papers would write about what they know - And not write nonsense which I submit the Article which appeared in last weeks "Weekly News" is -
