her poor dear cockatoos and parrots. We had a quiet pleasant evening. Miss Dorset and her father was there. It is really most imprudent in ladies to go out in such weather in evening parties at the risk of losing their health for life. I thought of your folly in going to Mrs Kelham's ball and I feel very glad we did not go to the Sharpe's as I am certain you would not be in any way improved by doing so.
