Castle Point Feby. 9 1853 Dear Sir, On arriving at home and finding that you had not returned this way has I had heard you intended doing I felt anxious to inform you that John Sutherland had not removed also the reason for his not moving, fearing you might hear some false report regarding his not moving and think he was paying no respect to the notice you sent him. But when the reason is explained I think you will not feel displeased and if on the contrary you must blame me for it. When the natives saw we intended to remove every thing of the place they felt anxious for them to remain I told them it could not be allowed and colected the cattle ready to put them
