Plymouth Aug. 20, 1855 (post day) My dear Sir, The "Duke of Portland" arrived yesterday with the troops, a few only were landed owing to the lateness of the hour when the vessel anchored - the boats (3) are working splendidly and it is expected bag and baggage will be in Pukeariki before the day is over. The weather continues beautifully fine and every person is in high spirits. When the Colonel comes I think he will be better
