. Taranaki New Plymouth. July 16th. 1846. My dear Sir, I have received the tea and sugar, for which I feel much obliged; as they are very reasonable, and much better quality than I can procure at this place. The sugar was 25 lbs short of the weight you charge; but I suppose, as the bag was broken, someone made free with its contents,- either on board the vessel, or afterwards.
