Sir, Since my letters of the 25th. and 27th. ultimo, I have nothing to add to, or diminish from what I have already said, nor anything fresh of importance to report, except that the Pai Marire, or Hau superstition continues to spread among the Maoris in this Province. I enclose the copy of a letter which has reached me to-day, from Paora Rerepu, of Mohaka, applying for arms and ammunition to defend his party from danger which he apprehends from these fanaties, and Which he looks upon as imminent.
