ealse will come in the way. A trip up to Gollan's if you will not come here would do you a deal of good. During the time you were away with the St Kilda I could not rest from dreams about you. I did not know you were away at the time and I was very uneasy till I heard of your safe return. I am happy to say we are quite well up here and I supose Catherine will be at Napier before you receive this as I heard that Alexr and she left on Monday for their. I hope you will have an easy time during the Councel but I dare say Stewart & Bucanan will gave some trouble but the onley way is to laugh at such fellows for they would soon have war in the Province had they any management of affairs. I hope this mail will bring good accounts from dear little Douglas. He will have the winter over now and pleasant weather which will be more congenial to him. I inclose you a letter from Aunt Ann which will show you how they are poor things. I wish I was onley able to do something for them as they must have a great struggle in their old days
