Mr. Corbett returned from Wellington, he gave me a parcel from you - the letters were delivered on the 22 Went to Captain King's residence, found him poorly from the effects of a severe cold. By Captain King's direction private John Medland went to the Colonial Surgeon, reported himself fit to resume his duties and applied for a written certificate to that effect. Received news of the wreck of the schooner "Maori" at Manukao - two of the European passengers were drowned.
