My dear Sir George, I came up to Hamilton today to arrange some questions relating to confiscated lands with the Tamahere Natives. I leave again to night for Ngaruawahia where I have several matters to attend to before leaving for Port Russell on Monday. I am glad you are so successful with the shooting in this wet weather, I am sorry I cannot pay the Leslies a visit as I expected to do before leaving. I remain, Yours sincerely, Donald McLean. 15 June, 1872. Do you wish me to wait for you at New castle or go on? D.McL.
