from the peak above Kaitake, and is seen from the latter, a mile or two nearer might be got, but then the sand hill would make a background so it I think; carry on the wires to a station at the sand hill and erect a Semaphore there, on Kaitake, and on Marsland Hill, and in fine weather the Telegraph could work night or day.
