accepting the terms, from the benefit of which he will be consequently excluded according to a notification previously communicated to him. I may further state that His Excellency the Governor has despatched a messenger to the Taranaki and Ngateruanui tribes informing them that if they desire peace they must immediately come forward in which case he will be prepared to state to them terms upon which he will accept their submission.
