Auckland May 12, 1866 My dear Sir When I called to see the native prisoners at Napier they made a request for some Testaments. I have taken the liberty of sending a parcel containing twenty which are to go by the Rangatira. Will you have the kindness to forward them by the next opportunity. If it is allowable to place the expense of the books £2 to the charge of the Government, will you give the money to Mr. Samuel Williams. I enclose also a line for the natives. Yours very faithfully W. Waiapu D. Maclean Esqr.
