New Plymouth May 13th. 1850. Dear Sir, I hope the explanation in Bayly's case will be clear, and that in my next, I may be able to mention an amicable termination. Groutin's case at first sight looked bad, but on enquiry, I could not discern more than what an ignorant European would have done in a similar case. Many notices appear to the effect that if So and So is not claimed within such a date, will be sold to pay expenses. I shall be glad
