Wellington, N.Z. 7th Jany. 1874 My dear McLean, I just drop you a line to enlist your Interest and influence when Mr.Vogel returns relating to my expenditure in England with regard to emigration. I sent out a total of 122. Besides distributing a large number of emigration forms both in the country and London. My expenses incurred amounting to nearly £300, and I trust the Government will consider my case with regard to reimbursement. All the correspondence on the subject is in the hands of the Government.
