a recognition of my claims as the Govt. may deem me entitled to. In asking compensation for past services I should add that I am continually engaged in duties connected with the general Govt. for which I receive no remuneration those duties I am perfectly willing to perform, but as they involve heavy responsibility besides considerable pecuniary expences that I cannot recover.
