April 1st. 1865. My dear Sir, I recd. your letter per mail, but as Mr. Locke was going in to town, and you had not recd. my letter at the time you wrote your instructions, I though it better to wait till I had heard from you in answer to it, thinking you might possibly alter your intentions on reading the same. Mr. Locke will give you every information, and nothing fresh has transpired since he left. I am my dear Sir faithfully yours S. Deighton.
