Of the plan itself it is not for me to speak disparagingly, I can only say I believe it to be utterlywithout precedent in the British Isles. Be that as it may, the business to us is of so serious a nature that we can only rely on your interference and pledge that we should not suffer in the transfer of the lands. I shall so soon as possible be in Napier, with a plan of the road which Mr. Fitzgerald has promised to supply. I regret much Mr. Weber did not come to the Wairoa he would have perceived as far as ourselves and Mr. Kain, and Mr. Single are concerned how easily all detriment and loss might have been avoided without any material infringement upon his plan of the Township. All this I can better explain when we meet. Trusting this will find your Honor restored to health again, I remain very faithfully, ours, G. Worgan.
