14 October 1865 Glenorchy My dear Donald I am happy to say we got home nicely and found every thing all right. John's wife is a very respectable person and very trustworthy. I hope you have got the natives in proper order among themselves and that we will have no disturbance here as it is hard to say what it might lead to. John told me that he was going down to you to get some money to pay an account he owes to Irvine for cloths and things of that kind that he had. He also tells me that his tea and sugar is getting near done so you better gave him an order to get the brown sugar for the station not the very black stuff but a fair quality as Mr Kinross sent rather to good quallity last time for station us[e] and to dear. The last flower I bought for myself was Chilanian and it is better than Crown
