New Plymouth December 14, 1847 Sir The Governor's early arrival in this settlement being now probable, I am desirous of consulting with the Settlers on several important questions that should be submitted to His Excellency. I therefore request that you will honour me by attending a meeting at my house on Wednesday evening the 15th at eight o'clock for that object.
