[Letter to Charles Nairn Esq, Pouurerrere] 17 November 1858 Maraekakaho My dear Sir When I bought you sheep I bought for the purpose of keeping them and putting them on Domet's runn. Since that time I found that Domet wishes to stock his runn and keep for himselfe. At one time he wished me to take the run for a long time and keep his own few sheep on some terms. Now that he has honoured the loan of some money to buy the land on the run he wants me to pay a long rent for his run which I do not wish to do. Loseing the right of Domet's runn I have no more for aney more sheep. I went to Alexander since I saw you and he said he would take the sheep of my hands as I bought them to be put on the said runn and as Domet wanted sheep the least thing he could do is to take the sheep of my hands as I was at a great deall of troubble on his account.
